Whistler Traveltini

An Alpine Blue Classic with a Twist

There are cocktails that whisper… and there are cocktails that glow like glacier melt under a mountain sunset.

The Whistler Traveltini belongs to the latter.

Inspired by snowy peaks, bluebird ski days, and that unmistakable après-ski sparkle, this cocktail is virtually identical to the iconic Sapphire Martini — made famous by Bombay Sapphire Gin — with one elegant distinction: a bright lemon twist that lifts the finish like crisp alpine air.

It’s clean. It’s classic. It’s boldly blue.

And in a cobalt stem? Pure mountain drama.

The Story

Picture this: you’ve carved your final run of the day. Boots are unbuckled. Firelight flickers. Someone orders “something classic… but make it Whistler.”

Enter the Whistler Traveltini — chilled to perfection, sapphire-toned, and crowned with a lemon twist that perfumes the glass before the first sip.

It’s as refreshing as glacier water and as smooth as the last chairlift ride down.

Recipe: Whistler Traveltini

Ingredients

• 2 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin
• ½ oz Blue Curaçao
• ½ oz Dry Vermouth
• Ice
• Lemon twist (for garnish)

Prepare

Select and pre-chill a classic martini glass (or, if you’re feeling dramatic, a cobalt statement glass like this one).

Prepare a fresh lemon twist.

How to Make

  1. Fill a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Add gin, blue curaçao, and dry vermouth.
  3. Stir smoothly for 20–30 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain into the chilled martini glass.
  5. Express the lemon twist over the surface of the drink to release the oils.
  6. Drop the twist gently onto the rim or into the glass.

Garnish

A bright lemon twist — crisp, clean, and alpine-fresh.

Tasting Notes

Clean juniper forward nose
Light citrus lift
Subtle sweetness from blue curaçao
Silky, elegant finish

It’s the colour of a glacier pool and the attitude of a black-diamond run.

Traveltini Tip

If you prefer a slightly drier finish, reduce the blue curaçao to ¼ oz and increase the vermouth slightly.
If you prefer a slightly sweeter, après-lounge version — keep the proportions as written and sip slowly.

The Whistler Traveltini proves that sometimes all a classic needs is a twist — literally.

Ski optional. Style mandatory. 🍸
